Why fix it
A chipped tooth creates a rough edge that traps plaque, irritates your tongue, and gradually gets worse. It also affects your appearance — most patients become self-conscious about smiling.
Composite bonding restores the tooth in 20–30 minutes with no drilling and no injection. The resin is colour-matched — the repair is invisible.
Treatment options
Composite bonding (from £350) for small chips — immediate, durable, lasts 5–7 years. For larger chips, a porcelain veneer (from £590.75) or crown (from £590.75) may be more appropriate. Your dentist recommends the most conservative option.

This thorough assessment means we rarely miss secondary problems that explain why a symptom has developed. Treatment recommendations are based on the GDC's requirement for valid informed consent: we explain the diagnosis, the treatment options (including doing nothing), the expected outcomes, the risks and benefits, and the costs — in writing — before any work begins. Patients are always free to take time to consider their options. There is no pressure to proceed at the consultation appointment.
