What veneers can do
Porcelain veneers cover the front surface of your teeth with thin ceramic shells — changing their colour, shape, size and alignment in one coordinated result. They mask severe discolouration that whitening cannot fix, close gaps, even out asymmetry, and create the uniform proportions of a naturally attractive smile.
At Station House, veneers are designed to look like the best version of your own teeth — not a template. Your dentist considers your facial proportions, skin tone, lip line and the shape of your existing teeth before recommending a shade or shape. The result suits you, not a catalogue.
The process
Two appointments. At the first, your dentist prepares the teeth (removing a thin layer of enamel), takes impressions and fits temporary veneers. At the second (1–2 weeks later), the permanent porcelain veneers are bonded in place and your bite is checked. You leave with your new smile.

The Clinical Evidence Base for Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneer longevity is one of the best-documented outcomes in cosmetic dentistry. The landmark 20-year observational study by Fradeani et al. (2005) reported a 94.4% cumulative success rate at 12 years for feldspathic porcelain veneers placed with conservative preparation. A systematic review published in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry (2012) confirmed 5-year and 10-year survival rates of 94.4% and 93.5% respectively across multiple independent studies. The primary failure modes are fracture (most common, often associated with bruxism), debonding, and marginal discolouration. Critically, the move to minimally invasive preparation protocols — removing 0.3mm–0.5mm of enamel rather than the historically aggressive 1mm+ — is associated with improved adhesive bond strength and reduced post-operative sensitivity. The enamel–resin interface is biomechanically superior to dentine–resin bonding, making enamel preservation the single most important technical factor in long-term veneer success.
Common questions
That is the entire goal. We match shades and proportions to your face. The best veneers are invisible — people notice you look great, not that you had work done.
10–15 years with proper care. Avoid biting very hard objects. Wear a night guard if you grind. Regular check-ups allow monitoring.
No. Veneers require removing a thin layer of enamel, which is permanent. If you want a reversible option, consider composite bonding.
